Terms and conditions of use

These are the terms and conditions Affordable Rentals PTY Limited CAN 090 715 101, of 9/105 Kurrajong Ave, Mount Druitt NSW 2770 (phone: 02 9625 6000 Fax: 02 9625 7125) (“Affordable Rentals”) are prepared to accept. You, the renter, agree to accept all terms and conditions.

 

You The Rental Applicant agree that Affordable Rentals have brought to your attention the terms and conditions and you have had the opportunity to obtain legal advice before agreeing to the terms and conditions.

 

You, the Renter agree to Affordable Rentals obtaining information about your financial circumstances. You, the Renter agree to Affordable Rentals obtaining any information from any credit reporting agency/agencies. This may contain personal credit information about you in relation to an application for a new application to Affordable Rentals, continuing credit provided by Affordable Rentals, or assisting us to collect overdue payment in respect of consumer credit provided to you. Affordable Rentals may also source information from publicly accessible sources or third parties. These may include a creditor named on your application, a creditor named on a report from a credit reporting agency, a referees named in your application, landlord or employer, as well as any company/individual Affordable Rentals Deems necessary.

 

You agree that Affordable Rentals may give to and seek from, any credit provider named in your application information as well as any credit report issued by a credit reporting agency. You understand that this information may include any information about your credit worthiness , credit standing, credit history or credit capacity that credit providers are permitted to give or receive from each other under the Privacy Act 188 (Cth).

 

You understand the information may be used for the following:

a)    To assess an application by you for credit;

b)    To notify other credit providers of a default by You;

c)    To exchange information with other credit providers as to the status of this loan  where you are in default with other credit providers;

d)    To assess your credit worthiness

e)    To assist with enforcing any obligation or breach under these terms.

By applying on the Affordable Rentals website, you give Affordable Rentals to collect any relevant information. Information includes, but is not limited to the following: Name, including Alias’ and previous names, addresses, including previous addresses, date of birth, gender, drivers licence number, photo card number, employment information, tenancy information, phone numbers and any other personal details Affordable Rentals deem necessary.

 

By applying on the Affordable Rentals website, you give permission for Affordable Rentals to obtain further information from a credit reporting agency.

 

Disputes

 

If a problem has arisen, what should you do?

Please contact Affordable Rentals and discuss the matter and see if you can come to an arrangement. If this first step is unsuccessful, you may contact your credit providers external dispute resolution scheme.

EXTERNAL DISPUTE RESOLUTION IS A FREE SERVICE ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE YOU WITH AN INDEPENDENT MECHANISM TO RESOLVE SPECIFIC COMPLAINTS. YOUR CREDIT PROVIDERS EXTERNAL DISPUTE PROVIDER IS THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN AND CAN BE CONTACTED AT GPO BOX 3 MELBOURNE VICTORIA 3001, PH: 1300 780 808.

Alternatively, you can go to court. You may wish to get legal advice, for example from a community legal centre or Legal ID, and/or make a complaint to ASIC. ASIC can be contacted on 1300 300 630 or through ASIC’s website at http://www.asic.gov.au

 

 IF YOU HAVE DOUBTS, OR WANT MORE INFORMATION, CONTACT YOUR CREDIT PROVIDER. YOU MUST ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE YOUR COMPLAINT WITH YOUR CREDIT PROVIDER BEFORE CONTACTING YOUR CREDIT PROVIDERS EXTERNAL DISPUTE RESOLUTION SCHEME. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT WHICH REMAINS UNRESOLVED AFTER SPEAKING TO YOUR CREDIT PROVIDER YOU CAN CONTACT YOUR CREDIT PROVIDER’S EXTERNAL DISPUTE RESOLUTION SCHEME OR GET LEAGL ADVICE.
